There are a plethora of advantages that make online personal training an appealing choice for people seeking to improve their fitness and health.

Here are a few major benefits:

  • Convenience and flexibility
  • Cost-effectiveness
  • Access to guidance

If you are committed to achieving your fitness goals and have an idea of what you should be doing BUT can’t seem to stay committed, then online training is for you.

Over the last few years, the health and fitness space has seen a shift towards online personal training. Things like a worldwide pandemic,  advancements in technology, easy access to the internet, and even a change in what you, the consumer, prefer.

Online personal training, often delivered “online” through virtual platforms, apps, and email, offers many compelling reasons why you should consider it an option when pursuing your health and fitness goals.

CONVENIENCE & FLEXIBILITY

A massive advantage of online personal training is the convenience factor. You have it at your disposal on your phone, iPad, or any other electronic device you prefer. You can access your training program and have the ability to communicate with me or any other online trainer at any time. This would eliminate the need to keep up with rigorous workout schedules.

The convenience of working with an online personal trainer is extremely beneficial for those with busy lives, difficult work hours, those who travel a lot, or have the difficult task of being a parent.

With online training and an online trainer, your workout fits your life.

COST-EFFECTIVENESS

In-person training can be costly, due to a gym membership and the trainer fees. The online training model offers a more cost-effective alternative.

Depending on the online trainer you work with, you may be saving money depending on the pricing options and packages that they offer. On top of that, you may be able to save on commuting expenses and time by being able to workout from the comfort of your own home.

PROS

  • workout whenever you want
  • can workout from home
  • save time
  • save money
  • play your favorite music as loud as you want

CONS

  • limited gym equipment
  • miss out on the community aspect of being at the gym
  • can get distracted easily
  • too easy to delay scheduled gym time

Discipline

Ultimately, it comes down to what you want. If you can hold yourself accountable, be disciplined, and get to the gym on your own then an online trainer may not be for you. If you can do all that but show up to the gym and walk around like a hopeless giraffe not having a clue what to do, then an online trainer should be something you consider. Which leads me to my next reason why you should consider hiring an online trainer.

ACCESS TO GUIDANCE

As your online concierge to the world of health and fitness, I would place a strong emphasis on educating you and all clients about lifestyle changes that would not be just “quick fixes.” I will help you understand why certain things are done the way that they are so you can sustain them for a long period of time.

Let’s use the show “The Biggest Loser” as an example. The majority of the contestants on that show lost a shit ton of weight in a short period of time. They were working out for a ridiculous number of hours per day and eating practically nothing.

That is not sustainable!

Woohoo they lost a shit ton of weight really fast, but most of the contestants on that show ended up putting that weight back on. Why? Because the methods they used to lose all that weight are not something you can do forever.

They were so extreme that the contestants fell off the wagon and went back to their old habits prior to being on the show.

As your online trainer I will teach you about nutrition and long term strategies for maintaining your results. I will help you build long term sustainable habits and how to avoid short lived fitness fads and yo-yo dieting.

So, the days of walking into the gym and roaming around like a buffalo in an open field will soon be over.

Commit to a custom made program catered to your goals, abilities and what you have available to you.

Walk into the gym with confidence, armed with a plan and structure.

No more gallivanting around the machines trying to figure out what each one does.

Allow me to guide you on your fitness journey.

Chris
